André Mulzer aka Crack Belly Crystal Death is a performance and visual artist based in Berlin. My work is basically about: walking around, observing, perceiving, collecting. Finding words and melodies. Writing scenes, creating costumes, singing songs, making friends, telling stories. Moving the body, arranging objects. Counter bitterness with humour. My work is shaped by my own experiences of precarity in a consumerist society. In my performances I try to combine the feelings of fear, loneliness, fragility and poetry with pop culture, brands, hypes, trash and memories. I confront my audience with moments of failure and stumbling, uncertainty, improvisation, lightness and entertainment.
